HOW TO SAVE YOUR URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION

Anyone knows that if you want your eyeshadow to last, need a base/primer. I have Urban Decay Primer potion. It comes in this cute genie like bottle. Aesthetically pleasing but not convenient. There are a few blogs/post/youtube video's out there that shows you how to decant you UDPP. I figured since im out of UDPP, i'd cut mine and salvage whatever is left. If you're smart, I recommend just using pliers and pulling the stopper out

If you are feeling ambitious like i was then here is what you need:
*Knife (do not use a razor blade like i did - ended up with cuts)
*An empty container to put your primer in; an old jar or buy an empty one
I grabbed a stila twist up lip gloss pen opened it and cleaned it out

So at the widest part of the bottle, cut into it and this is what you find. I was a shocked to find out that i had all this product & to think i was going to throw it away.

Take your container and fill it. Mines was a bit messy but it worked out. i still had some left over, so i put it into a small lip balm jar to use. The pen holds about 2.4 ml. I'm going to guesstimate and say you have at least 3.5 ml of product left in that bottle.

CROSS BODY BAG

One of the biggest trend for spring 2011 is the cross body bag. You can find them anywhere in any style, color and size! Its convenient that your hands are free & you'll never forget your purse because its always on you. The other day, the bf got me a late v-days gift. Can you say cute? We were at the outlets & Coach had an additional 30% off. Snagged this bag for about $65, retail price of $148, almost half the original price!! Its more of a casual day wear. For going out, i have this quilted black studded faux leather bag from forever. In love with the weaving chain. If you're on a budget, check out forever 21, they have tons!

MATTE NUDE LACE NAILS

Essie Sand Tropez & Matte About You
Konad plate m57

The newest trend in nails seems to be matte. Of course, I cant spend $7 a bottle when I probably only wear is once or twice and the trend is out of season. I made a trip to walmart and picked up Essie Matte About You. Its pretty much a top coat you apply after you are done with your nails. The possibilities with it is endless and for about $8, definitely well worth it. Unlike most matte polishes, you can use a base coat and 2 coats of your polish then the Matte About You. It dries relatively fast  you see the results instantly. i wished i picked this up sooner instead eyeballing all those matte polishes online contemplating which one to buy. Its a bit tacky but the trick to it is to apply it on your nail with only two strokes; it minimizes the streaky look. And also make sure your polish is prefect before apply this because it will point out all those flaws. For today, I wanted something that was muted and feminine.Dont mind my uneven nail size... It ripped off but i couldnt wait till it grew out to try this. Enjoy! :D

SPRING NAILS

My fimo nail canes came in! yay! Got 100 different canes for about $5 on eBay. They're alot smaller than i thought but it makes sense especially if its going to fit on your nails. If you put two quarters next to each other, that's how long the canes are. anywho,ThatsSOfresh is hosting a spring themed nails contest. With a little extra time on my hands, i thought i'd give it a try.

Make You Smile & My Lifesaver
I was super excited to snags these at my local Target. It the Justin Beiber, One Less Lonely Girl line for Nicole by OPI. I LOVE the mint green color! its my new favorite spring color. I also used some of my fimo canes :D

MINNIE MOUSE NAILS

Minnie Mouse Nails
Who doesnt know Minni Mouse?! Some of us grew up watching Disney and not sesame street. *ahem* me. This is a tributes to Disney world's 40th anniversary. Yay for childhood! Such a lovable character & her coveted polka dots is easily recognizable.Instead of doing an all over polka, i decided to do a little twist and add Minnie's signature bow. Enjoy!

Supplies:
-Essie Watermelon (any shade or pink/red)
- Essie Imported bubbly (base)
-Any kind of white & black polish
-Siler is optional, you can use rhinestones instead
-Toothpicks
-Stamping plate with polka dot image
(if you don't have this then you can use toothpicks)
-french tip guide stickers

1. Paint a base coat. I used a sheer champagne color. You dont have to use a base, i decided to because i liked the color
2. Tape off nails with the guide stickers. If you dont have any, you can use any kind of sticker that has a round corner such as those from name tags, etc
3. Paint the tips in Essie Watermelon or the shade you picked out. Keep the stickers on.
4. Using a stmaping plate, i stamped the white polka dots onto the pink tips. Remove sticker.
5. Using toothpicks, put black dots and 2 triangle above the tips
6.In the middle of the triangle, place a dot of silver polish or a rhinestone.
7. Paint top coat.
Voila! you're done! :D

CHECKERED NAILS

FIRST BLOG!! YAY! I recently made a quick trip to wal-mart and found this amazing dark blue/green color by Essie. A tad anxious and eager; I've pushed aside my business project and did my nails. The inspiration came from these checkered van's. Its a fairly simple design and finally get to use my stamping kit. QUICK TIP! I bought a set of 21 for $18 on amazon. Great deal & comparable to konad plates, which by the way is at least $7 a plate. What A Steal! If only bundlemonster had more sets.. any-who onto the main attraction.

ESSIE - DIVE BAR
SALLY HANSEN - CELEB CITY & BLACK OUT
1. 1-2 coats of Essie
2. Using a sponge, dab celeb city. Staring at the bottom of the nail, building up the color
3. Use stamping plate BM17 & apply

Ta-da! the stamping is cricked but still pretty. :DD
